Ford and Lincoln’s Amazing New Active Park Assist Technology

Ford is introducing the new Active Park Assist technology on some of its 2010 models. Active Park Assist is enabled by Ford’s advanced EPAS technology. In addition to helping with parallel parking, EPAS improves fuel economy up to 5%, while reducing CO2 emissions and enhancing steering performance compared with traditional hydraulic powered-assisted steering systems.

Active Park Assist uses an ultrasonic-based sensing system and electric power-assisted steering to work its magic. Ford said its system also works on hills.ford

If we read some reports, Ford Actice Parking system seems to be working much better that the simillar system lauched by Lexus approximattely 2 years ago.
