Semi-conductors innovation strategy

Solid state drive innovation strategy.

The solid state drive emulates the conventional hard disk technology. It use electronic chips to store persistent data instead of using a rotating disk. With the old hard disk technology we had 2 major leaks: the time it took to spin the disk to get to the information was creating a delay and the mechanic part of the device was dramatically reducing to hardware life time.

Now, with this new innovation strategy, these two problems are solved. These type of chips that we use in the laptops hard drive are also called flash chips. Flash memory is a type of EEPROM , which stands for Electronically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory. To learn more about this facinating innovation strategy, you can watch this video from the Instructional video network.
